Seventh Grade Physical Education CurriculumThe 7th grade curriculum is designed to have students acquire and develop new and previously learned skill sets. In accordance with the the California State Standards students will demonstrate movement skills, show an understanding of movement knowledge, improve fitness levels, understand and apply knowledge of fitness concepts and demonstrate sociological maturity. |
GRADING PROCEDUREGrading is determined by attendance, work ethic, and completion of all assessments. Daily participation will follow a profile relating to behavior, performance and social interaction. The letter grades (A, B, C, D) represent varying degrees of quality of an individual student’s performance relating to learning objectives. Students earn 5 point per day of instruction, 2 points for dressing out, 2 points for participation and 1 point for behavior. DAILY PROGRESS MONITORING

COURSE OBJECTIVEThe students will learn through verbal instruction, observational skills, view instructional videos, use video analysis of performance, and listen to lectures on current and activity related topics. By the end of each unit students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of content through performance, written assignments, and skill analysis. STUDENT ACCOUNTABILITY
